Owen’s review published on Letterboxd :
Drunken doctor falls for sleep walking beauty.
A lot of this reminded me of a not particularly good Arbuckle and Keaton short, not my favourite vintage of Keaton, so despite the fun double exposure stuff the drunken routines largely fell flat for me.
However for some reason despite them being very familiar the romance and thrill aspects of it really hit home for me and lifted it up a few stars. Lloyd and Mildred Davis obviously starred in a load of very similar films together as well as being married in real life and they just elevate the predictable romance plot here. Similarly I've never really gone for the Lloyd on high buildings stuff, not even in Safety Last, but it works well here and the final act saves a rather flat middle..
