Just gorgeous. Shots that convey the depth of feeling of a silent combined with some of the best use of music I can remember to tell a story of patriarchy and love. The rhythm of editing to go with the constant music is impeccable.
A lot of it is truly electric but it was the use of music I came back to again and again. Particularly the nuanced way that a folk song switches from being a communal but fairly shallow thing to a real expression of one man's passion and pain and how the rest of the singers respond to it. Masterful emotional storytelling over and over.
