No Country for Old Men 2007
oh to dress like llewelyn
left me with a lot of ideas on how to define a western. can really see echoes of the old style, the quiet of the west used to show a sense of masculinity that can only be defined as a true “cowboy”. and, yet, the dialogue in this takes up the space it should, it moves it past just being western into an almost critique of the genre whilst being a celebration of it. sorry for being pretentious i just have lots to think about
