Oh my god.
I do not understand how this movie exists. Full stop. It might be the purest movie I have ever seen.
It's so funny. It's so sweet. I almost cried. Then, on the drive home, I thought about the end and almost cried again.
You watch a movie and, at most, it has 2 or 3 really cool sequences in it that stand out over the rest. This movie, though. I don't get it. There are just so many things in here that made me so happy.
Everybody in this movie is perfect. Brendan Gleeson is so funny. Hugh Grant DESTROYS the screen when he's on it. How in the hell. Ben Whishaw IS Paddington and it's incredible. Everyone returning from Paddington 1 just falls right back into their thing and it's like they never left.
I can't recall the last time I came out of a movie feeling THIS strongly about it. Paddington 2 shot itself straight into my heart and, wow, I'm so happy to have seen it.
