"I told myself then, if I ever get the opportunity to get those coal operators, I will."
Women are at the forefront of progress, dudes.
What a thrilling, grounded, and terrifying documentary. Barbara Kopple invests so much time into the community, and it's amazing how much ground she covers in less than two hours. By no means apolitical, she expertly highlights the unavoidable violence of tradition vs action. And in this case, it's the women that made it all happen.
A real shot to the arm, even now, with so much in the news concerning the mining community.
Fuck Basil Collins.
