Pachinko Pop’s review published on Letterboxd:
Two former cellmates reunite outside of prison, and cause trouble between the yakuza and a Chinese gang. Bunta Sugawara and Kyosuke Machida are a great duo, I especially liked Machida who I’ve seen in a ton of stuff but usually in smaller roles. Ken Takakura and Tomisaburo Wakayama have some token appearances that bring weight to their scenes. There’s definitely some anti-foreigner posturing going on in this film. The Chinese gang’s goons have awesome matching red jackets with tiger heads embroidered on the back and a colorful mansion that is a cool setting for the final showdown.
