It's hard to explain what this film made me feel. I think it's a film that will stay on my mind for quite some time. It was so beautiful. The shots, the pacing, the script, all of it.
Still, what struck me the most was the score. I'm usually not one that remembers scores after finishing a film, but this one... I'm still in awe. It fit so well, at all times. When the dialouge wasn't there, the score was there to explain it all. And the performances. With few words, Maggie Cheung and Tony Leung managed to bring out a whole register of emotions by just using their faces and eyes.
Let me watch this one more time and I think I will truly love it.
