Panta Oz’s review published on Letterboxd:
“Malignant,” is quite unique 111-minute long possession thriller about a woman who’s haunted by a vindictive killer who may or may not be her imaginary childhood friend. The cinematography was perfect for the occasion, acting was not bad at all and the screenplay had quite a dazed twist at the end. There was a time when I was wondering what is going on, and the tempo was quite uneven, but at the end everything was clarified… so, I will say that James Wan’s directing was as expected from someone who directed Truth be told, and created Saw, Insidious, The Conjuring, and Aquaman.
I enjoyed it as a Saturday morning movie.
