Reynolds truly has found his role of a lifetime. He nails the titular character again. His comedic timing is excellent but he also shows off an emotional side again that was only touched upon in the original.
Josh Brolin adds another great villain to his resume. Along with the rest of the supporting cast, they more than ably assist to create a movie equal, if not better than the original.
Love all the Superhero Universe references, especially the constant Wolverine mentions.
A blood soaked B movie that's weirdly enjoyable.
The acting is ropey and the plot is crazy bad but it somehow works. The movie is 50% subtitled but there's so little dialogue that it doesn't cause a distraction.
There's so many plot holes and wtf moments but just sit back and enjoy the crazy ride.
Good not great.
For all the fanfare behind this movie it was always going to be hard to live up to the hype and sadly it doesn't. Boseman and Jordan both provide strong performances. It's a visually stunning movie.
But when it comes to the crunch, it's nothing more than a generic super hero movie. We were promised we'd be wowed but ultimately there is nothing new here.
Marvel is usually very clever with the comedy element in their movies…
