Playing the iconic duo was a tough task to undertake but Coogan and Reilly absolutely nail it. They both play their roles to perfection and give award nomination worthy performances. But they aren't the only double act in this movie. Arianda and Henderson, who play the 2 wives also bounce off each other to great effect.
It's a well made movie that doesn't go for the big laughs but instead charmingly tells the story of the duo's twilight years. A great feel good movie.
Enjoyed more than I thought I would.
Having never seen the much acclaimed The Intouchables, I didn't have much to gauge against like others have, so I took the film on its own merit.
Not Kevin Hart's biggest fan but this is probably his best performance to date. Scaling down the annoying whiny shouting thing he always ends up doing, to play a character that is calmer and has more depth than normal (don't worry fans of his, he does…
Good not great.
For all the fanfare behind this movie it was always going to be hard to live up to the hype and sadly it doesn't. Boseman and Jordan both provide strong performances. It's a visually stunning movie.
But when it comes to the crunch, it's nothing more than a generic super hero movie. We were promised we'd be wowed but ultimately there is nothing new here.
Marvel is usually very clever with the comedy element in their movies…
