Not for me.
I understand 𝘸𝘩𝘺 people make such intimate, personal, & therapeutic films, but cannot begin to fathom how this is has received so many awards that the list needs it's own wiki page!?!?
Doesn't aim to entertain. Doesn't try to tell any sort of cohesive story. Scenes are long, dry, and dragged out for no reason. We see hair getting braided & a Polaroid developing in real time... Give me a break.
It's pretending to be the indiest of all indie films, but it's betrayed by the songs that got cleared for the soundtrack - $$$$
Couple of marks for 90s holiday nostalgia & Corio's shift; everything else about it is slow, boring, and beyond tedious.
SCORE: 2/10
