Wow, David Lynch films are something else. He finds a way to trap you into this story, this dream like state that almost seems too good to be true. In the end it is, but this is not done in a cheap and predictable way, it is done with layers upon layers of backstory and meaning behind it. The way that the last half hour of this movie changes everything is mind boggling. It is not a normal twist, and it speaks volumes about themes like hopes and dreams, and disappointment. This truly pushes the boundary of film as an art form, and is a film all movie lovers should see.
