it kind of sucked but if i saw this when i was 13 or something i think i would've been autistically obsessed with it
one of those films that i really should've watched earlier, but never got round to. i love films that explore the nature of performance: persona, mulholland drive, etc. and this feels like the noisy scream of kero kero bonito's only acting. the animation form is so suited to this because of how fantastical and confusing it can be - the lines are so perfectly blurred that it's dizzying, and you're left unable to even formulate an idea of what the resolution will be - it's a brilliant experience of a film!
