A truly astonishing piece of filmmaking about human bodies, spaces, existences, and co-existences. Whatever the film lacks in superficial technical marvel is made up for by its fundamental understanding of the interconnectedness of everything and the delicacy at which it conveys everyday life non-dogmatically.
Many of these stunning frames will be etched in my mind for an indeterminably-lengthy period of time. One woman's memories and present-day pain moving through the darkness and slivers of light. A staggeringly observed collection of moments, with Vitalina's breathtaking performance at its center.
Thank you Grasshopper Film, for making this available VOD. I wish I had been able to see this on a big screen, but I am still thankful for having seen it at all.
