    Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse


    You want to know why this is the best film of the year? 

    It’s so well rounded with character development, animation and writing. Specifically though, I love the writing so much. They mix so many emotions into the movie that I can’t handle it. I cried, I laughed, my heart was pounding with intensity... unbelievable.

    I’ve never had chills go down my spine like they did when Miles breaks out the black spidey suit for the first time. The scene absolutely steals your breath, especially when you combine it with the soundtrack.

    Yup, just another movie. Except Liam Neeson doesn’t kill enough people. Not any intensity found here. Disappointing. Much of the plot was predictable and left you unsatisfied.

    The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part


    Ok, so I wasn’t going into this with much expectation, as I have fallen asleep in the previous 3 movies, I fell asleep both times I saw Lego Batman. So the fact that I didn’t fall asleep is a testament to how good this was.

    The directing and writing really stood out, as there were practically nothing wrong with it. They also integrated the humans in flawlessly with the plot, which is seemingly rock solid.

    “We..... are Venom.”

    Ok, I’m just going to throw this out there for all the people who said this was bad, and all the people who think it might be bad: IT WASN’T BAD! I had a TON of fun watching Venom. It has that Marvel flare to it, GREAT CGI and action scenes, GREAT acting by Tom Hardy, and GREAT comedic writing. I thought it was a little slow at first but as it went on, I really didn’t care. Sure it has a few flaws, but I’ll be lying if I said this was as bad as people are saying.
