Paul Capewell’s review published on Letterboxd :
Unexpectedly enjoyable. The story was rather cliched, and there were occasional clunky bits of dialogue, but in general it was sweet, warm-hearted, and a comforting two hours - and very well-crafted, really. More than a handful of scenes very beautifully and carefully shot. Probably my biggest issue with it is why Helen Mirren was cast. She's fantastic, and is rather enjoyable in places here - I'd just have preferred an actual French actor here, and can't understand the decision to cast her in this.
