Not as much of a ripoff of Mulholland Drive as its detractors have claimed, though it's definitely not the first chimeric LA noir of its kind. I found Mitchell's sophomore flick extremely watchable and adequately self-aware. Now let's all agree to make one of these that doesn't take place in California?
