I'm gonna keep this short because I don't really feel like writing anything too big at the moment and this is a great film to go into blind. Judas and the Black Messiah is a frustrating and heartbreaking movie as it captures an important moment in history dealing with racism. This film did a phenomenal job handling its themes with incredible pacing, direction, and performances. Shaka King directs with so much detail, and the performances from Lakeith Stanfield and Daniel Kaluuya are merely outstanding. The pacing is incredible with some masterful tension building, plus a very strong third act. One thing that really helped the tension was the use of music, which was great. I will definitely be keeping my eye on Shaka King to see if he does anything in the future because this was incredible. I would highly recommend you do yourself a favor and check this out because it's really important.
