Wow. Not at all what I expected. At all.

  • Sonic the Hedgehog

    Sonic the Hedgehog

This was *REALLY* good. More humor than I expected. I love James Marsden anyway, but he's great as Tom. Jim Carrey chews up all the scenery as Robotnik, and I loved it. This was a really fun, adventurous movie that I enjoyed. My kids loved it too.

    Playing with Fire

About what I expected, but it's still pretty funny. Keegan Michael Key is the highlight here. He's hilarious. But Cena does a pretty good job as does Leguizamo.

  • Ford v Ferrari

    Ford v Ferrari

Wow, this movie is fantastic. Damon and Bale are so good. The 60s setting is amazing. I loved this movie more than I expected to. Lots of fun.

  • Son of Paleface

    Son of Paleface

Watched The Paleface on Saturday night, found out there was a sequel made several years later and then watched it on Sunday.

Bob Hope returns. Jane Russell returns. Hope plays the son of his character from the first movie. Russell plays a completely different character. Surprisingly, there is not one joke about the fact that Russell's character in this movie looks exactly like Hope's mother from the previous movie. Not one.

This movie cranks the humor up to 11. There…

  • River of No Return

    River of No Return

Love Marilyn Monroe and wanted to watch this western for years. It's pretty good. It's shot well. For most of the movie, Marilyn abandons her breathy, sultry delivery and plays very natural on screen. Mitchum is great as usual.

Some of the river effects and backgrounds do not age very well, but that's not surprising considering the movie's age.

  • The Paleface

    The Paleface

I've never really seen any Bob Hope movies. He's funny, charismatic, and has great timing. I also love Jane Russell. However, this movie, yikes. It's a bit cringy. I laughed at some stuff but there's other stuff that's just not aged well.

  • Toy Story 4

    Toy Story 4

I really liked this. I loved that it circled back to Bo Peep. She was awesome and kicked butt.  Duckie and Bunny were scene stealers. Some of the plot seemed a bit recycled from 3, but it didn’t linger on those story elements.

Overall I thought this was great.

  • Triple Frontier

    Triple Frontier

Tough, intense. It was a lot grittier than I was expecting. Very well acted. I enjoyed it.

  • Dora and the Lost City of Gold

Dora and the Lost City of Gold

This movie is full of adventure. It has a lot of surprisingly meta moments having fun with the fact it's based on a children's TV show. I enjoyed it, my kids enjoyed it.

  • The Hustle

    The Hustle

I really enjoy both of these leading ladies. I was set to have a good time with this film and that's what I got. It's fun, it's funny, and yes, you could compare it to Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, but why? I enjoy this movie for what it gave me, not what it didn't.

  • Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood

Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood

I loved this movie. It had a great atmosphere and setting and the relationship between Cliff and Rick was awesome. For the first 2 hours the movie is just a long, loving look at 60s Hollywood. It really settles in. I love that. Then the final 30 minutes goes bonkers and I love that, too.

I really enjoyed this movie a lot. The dialogue is great, the performances are top shelf. I'll definitely watch this again.
