the vibes were off right out the gate with this one. this felt like it was making fun of itself (don’t think that was the intent either lol), but the movie itself wasn’t even in on the joke.
easily my least favorite fincher movie i’ve seen, felt uninspired and a bit surface level compared to the others i’ve seen from him. zodiac absolutely blew my mind, sadly gone girl did not even hold a candle to it.
idk just extremely underwhelmed: acting was okay, cinematography was boring, writing was cheesy (and wow there’s so many plot holes), and entirely too long with no real pay off.
don’t get why i’ve heard this hyped up so much. invisible man (2020) took similar concepts/themes and used them in such a fun way, watch that instead.
