A stunning finale of the Wolverine. One of the most self aware"meta"films over ever seen. It hardens back to the westerns Charles Xavier watched from the bed of a shabby hotel on the run. Some of the "r-nes" may have been forced but a tortured Hugh wacman with a belly full of whiskey personifies regret and doom. Great stirring story full of timely subtext.
I went in expecting good... What I got was great! A serious adult film of desperate people living in ugly oppressive times how decade to do something about it! Dark and tougher than its predecessors this film make "a New Hope" all the more beautiful with the dark telling of what came before.
