MORF????? FUCKING MORF??????????

how did jake gyllenhaal grow like 6 inches between 1998, when this movie was filmed, and 2000, when donnie darko was filmed??? I swear to god he was like 5’6” in this. other than that October Sky was unremarkable, but it was way better than I expected it to be, considering it had the same basic plot as every fifth small-scale movie that came out from 1997-2005. I wouldn’t have watched this movie if it hadn’t been for jake gyllenhaal, and I don’t imagine anyone else in 2019 would watch it for any other reason.
