Not salsa. Not flamenco, my brother.
Such tenderness, vulnerability and yearning that my chest hurt watching this. A part of German history I wasn’t aware of, crafted beautifully in light and dark, with a personal story spanning three meaningful relationships through the lead character’s life in prison. I just wanted to hold him the entirety of the movie. Perhaps not the right film for me today. I’m feeling a little too much lately and kind of want to stop, harden back up and plaster a smile on my face, but it did provide a cathartic outlet for those feelings, a release of emotion.
Did I rewatch, laugh, cheer and gush over Top Gun in preparation for seeing this? Yes
Did I attend in a white T-shirt? Yes
Did it exceed all hopes and expectations? Hell YES!
Nostalgic summits conquered, bringing smiles, chills, a prickle of a tear and an oomph at gratuitous display of fit naked torsos at the beach! High and low 5’s all round!! Thank you!
Add high stakes impossible mission with outstanding flight sequences to get the heart pu-pu-pumping, hands…
A major hats off to the lead Han So-hee, who is well known for romance drama, but here she is kicking ass as the lead, out to revenge the death of her father. Three months of action school have served the lass well. A satisfying story, with plenty of impressive action scenes from gangster school fight tournament, to no one’s getting in my way corridor take down, all out gangster brawls, one on one stabby stabby time and many more.…
My 10 year old gives it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Do I want Jason Bourne/M:I/Bond style scenes through the narrow streets and roof tops of Malta….with dinosaurs? YES! Yes I do!
I wasn’t aware this was getting slated so much. I picked my son up from his Dad’s for our mum-son cinema trip and Dad was wincing, telling me his friend said it’s rubbish, and that I must not have read the reviews… mate 🙄 as if I care! Only two opinions matter…
