On the decent end of game adaptations. Fun, engaging.
It's hard to be totally objective about this review, because while this is the first time I've watched the whole film, I've seen bits and pieces before. Some movies can survive that process unscathed, but something like Se7en (come on, it doesn't even look like a v!) really relies on you knowing nothing going in.

I didn't set out to watch this - it was on TV while we were eating. Full of heart, full of humour, and interesting to watch, but absolutely aimed at kids.
Surprisingly enjoyable, but really not memorable, which of course is not a significant failing in this kind of movie. It delivers what it sets out to do, and oddly, includes the kid who played the lead in Hugo which I also watched today.
