Per Enström’s review published on Letterboxd:
Older guy and pop-star has-been (Hugh Grant) meets young woman (Drew Barrymore) that becomes his muse and inspiration and they fall in love. It is a really tired trope.
Music and Lyrics is excruciating embarrassment alternated with one-liners and witty banter. Sure, it gets a few laughs and pulls on your heartstrings ever so slightly, but overall it's empty to the core. If it's on in the afternoon and you have nothing else to do, give it a watch and you might have a bit of fun.
