Mike Aparicio’s review published on Letterboxd:
Solid performance from Ben Affleck, who’s doing some of his best work here. Still, it felt like Hoosiers Lite. None of the players were particularly fleshed out characters and instead the movie focuses on Affleck’s character and his demons. When it’s revealed why he’s drinking himself to death halfway through the movie, it felt cheap and unearned. The ending is also pretty anti-climactic.
