Mike Aparicio’s review published on Letterboxd:
Beautifully directed and deeply personal. Tzi Ma is great and Christine Ko is really having a moment between this and Dave. The first half drags a bit but it comes together in the end as Grover comes to terms with his past. A great debut feature from Alan Yang, whose work on this and Master of None shows great skill as a storyteller. Looking forward to whatever he does next.
