Ben Daniels’s review published on Letterboxd:
Some episodes are hit and miss, but when they hit, they hit. At it's best, Cosmos is informative, entertaining and eye-opening. Tyson brings such a presence that you feel like he's your grandfather, teaching you everything he knows before he dies. Bit morbid, but you get the idea, you have to take it in, you know.
When the show misses, however, it's essentially a light show with a guy reading Wikipedia articles over it. Luckily that doesn't happen often, though.
And watching Neil DeGrasse Tyson stave off a wolf is one of the best things I've ever seen. I replayed it as soon I saw it. Classic shit. Cosmos is definitely a series people have to watch if science is their dig. Even if it isn't, Tyson will MAKE IT YO' DIG.
