  I am absolutely in love with what Richard E Grant and Rosamund Pike are doing in this movie. I cannot say the same about the rest of it.

  That being said - watching a (weirdly) sold out showing watch Barry Keoghan fuck a grave was one of my film highlights of 2023.

  It’s a movie that’s more fun to watch than it is actually good.

  I’d scorch Earth as a whole for Sally Hawkins but I’m not sure I’d watch this movie again if she asked me to.

  I went into this with the lowest expectations as I honestly only bought these tickets because I love going to TIFF on opening night but I had a pleasant time.

  I tend to overrate basically every movie I watch at TIFF because it's hard to separate the movie from the overall buzz. This movie is simple, the script isn't great, Scarlett sounds like a Charles Dickens character but overall I had a good time.

  TIFF is back and the BVLGARI commercial is back and everything is right again.
