Neal Anderson’s review published on Letterboxd:
Much more tame than I came to expect, but still plenty disturbing. It almost went places you didn't want it to go, but then it didn't. It is not overtly gory, which makes it all the more effective.
Michael Rooker acts the hell out of this film, and is disturbingly soft spoken, calm, and nonchalant. The actors seem so unglamourized that you can almost believe that this was actually happening, or that actual psychopaths were being filmed. It is definitely an insightful look into the mind of a serial killer.
