Nope

Nope ★★★★½

This might be the first time I watched a horror movie without looking away. I COULDN'T look away. The way that imagery and symbolism plays a role makes the whole film fascinating to look at. I thought Peele was a genius after I watched Get Out, but this is a new level. In the way that Get Out forced audiences to look at their own biases and behaviors, Nope similarly asks you to question how your goals and fears affect those people around you that you love the most. What truth lies in our feelings and emotions if they lead us to be blind to the nature of those around us? The cinematography was amazing, the characters were provoking and beautifully acted, and the story was thrilling, what more could I ask for?
