Girl 2018
The way the camera lingers on her reflection in the mirror like she’s the only one in the room. The idea of people looking at her and not understanding her is palpable in every scene. The movie seems to limit the amount of bullying that it shows as a way of magnifying the emotion and ideas behind one’s own journey to self hood and identity.

Being a long time Alien fan and having just watched The Thing, it feels hard to give Predator the credit it deserves. Overall a fun watch though, and maybe worth seeing if only for some of the final scenes.
