My opinion is wrong. Deal with it. Also tend to be very generous when grading films so take each grade with a grain of salt.

Just so surprising in every way. I loved it. I never watched the show as a kid so in a nostalgia level I’m not sure how this holds, but regardless, this felt super creative in how it handled its plot and especially its cameos. Man the cameos. I won’t spoil them but a lot of them came out of fucking nowhere and had me dying. Like, wow. I also appreciated the callbacks within the plot. It actually featured quite a strong script. Overall, really good. I’d love a sequel.

Watched to be caught up for Maverick and it was… alright. Kinda underwhelming. It’s very 80s and I appreciate that and it had a really good soundtrack. I just felt the script was weak as was some of the editing. Anyways, I’m still kinda excited for Maverick.

West Side Story is the best Spielberg’s been in years. It’s no In the Heights, but it’s pretty damn close and is just pure magic. Ariana DeBose and Mike Faist are absolutely the best in the film and the likes of David Alvarez, Rita Moreno and Rachel Zegler are also really great. I found some of the editing to be a bit much and the sound mixing was just okay but at this point it’s just nitpicking. Oh, and the central love story made no damn sense but it’s a musical so whatever.
