Rizki Fachriansyah’s review published on Letterboxd:
Finally, a genre tribute done right. It threatens to come dangerously close to Wingard's jerk-off territory at times, what with the obligatory '80s power ballad needledrops and gratuitous neon lighting. Fortunately, the final cut (pun unintended) proves to be an exceptionally staged and well-edited gem. All in all, a fantastic genre catnip.
Bonus points for the cute nods to Carpenter, Kubrick, and Hooper -- The Texas Chain Saw Massacre's coda gets an especially gnarly twist here.
