    One of the all time great psychological thrillers: pulpy, shocking and exciting, with a delicious seam of black humour running throughout.

    Foster - glorious, Hopkins - mesmerising, Glenn - ice-cold, Levine - operatic!

    Perhaps not something to admit in public, but am I the only one who finds the good doctor somewhat aspirational? I mean, ignore the body count and youโ€™ve got a lifelong learner with excellent manners who knows his way round a kitchen. Just saying...

    3.8 on IMDb? Currently no. 84 in the IMDB Bottom 100?

    Iโ€™d agree it's the weakest of all the Batman films, contains the limpest Batman (not that it did GCโ€™s career much harm!) and has too many pointless, through-the-motions fight scenes and REALLY clunky wire work.

    But taken for what it is, it's a curious piece of panto with a great performance from Thurman - seductively channeling her inner Pfeiffer - and some classic Arnie, who gleefully chews his lines,โ€ฆ

    First time around around I was more generous - but with hindsight and in comparison with TLM1 and Lego Batman, TLM2 really treads on the bricks.

    Itโ€™s waaay too long - noticeably dragging around the hour mark - and where the first one earned its sentimental (and surprise) final act, this one just feels sickly and predictable, lacking the imagination in which the earlier brace of films excelled.

    It's colourful, occasionally amusing and the animation is extraordinary - how weโ€ฆ

    Didn't dislike it, and was never bored, but given the talent, and budget, on show, I find it strange that I came out of the screening feeling rather meh... Dinklage, Lawrence and Fassbender aside, the others were there just to move the plot along. And along, to the next bit of CGI wizardry.
