I think American Honey comes in as one of the greatest films I've ever seen.

The mood and tone it builds, the lifestyle with this family that you watch come together. Yes, it's long and occasionally you feel it, but in the same way that you feel time slipping away when you're with your closest friends and you're all having the time of your lives, but you can hear a clock ticking away until the night has to come to an end. Except in this film, it doesn't. Their adventure continues the day after, and you wish you could stay with it all.

This is a movie where you can argue nothing really happens, and nobody cares. You're just having the time of your life watching them have theirs.
