    I rewatched this on a whim with my wife yesterday. Around the time that Scotty is first discovering the USS Vengeance, I turned to her and said "this is a lot better than I remember it being"

    This isn't a movie about the Lampoon, its a movie about Doug Kenney. He is really the character that gets followed throughout and the movie really ends with his death.
    Fans of the movies, you'll get nothing out of this this. Fans of the magazine, those of you still alive, will appreciate some of the behind the scenes madness.

    Saw this at AFI Docs this year in Silver Spring, MD.
    First off, the subject is absolutely fascinating. Gold's view of the city of LA through its food is imaginative and evocative.
