Well, I can't believe I wasted two hours of my life on this incredibly pretentious, mean-spirited, masturbatory excuse for a movie. Like, what the fuck am I supposed to take away either intellectually or emotionally from a movie that doesn't even attempt to make sense on either level.
I don't know guys, maybe I'll change my mind on a second viewing but I doubt it. I'm really fucking tired of screenwriters and filmmakers who are obsessed with outsmarting the viewers and prize originality / shock value over literally any form of narrative cohesion. Like connection and emotion are the fundamentals of storytelling and if you take them away why tell a story at all??
