Courtroom dramas are very much not my thing, so Anatomy of a Fall really isn’t, either. The acting is good, and the structure plays out deliberately, but a good mystery needs a strong conclusion. Ambiguity for a mystery movie rarely works.

Simplistic yet super charming animation colors dialogue-free Robot Dreams with a distinct visual & narrative flavor. Plenty of personality, too; any animated film where a dog reads Stephen King excels. Touching, sweet, & endlessly adorable. β€œSeptember” stuck in my head forever..

Generational trauma and an inescapable past take center stage in bloody entertaining The Inhabitant.Β
