Daniel Silberfarb’s review published on Letterboxd:
Is it tucked?
This may be the best transgender prostitute movie I've ever seen. Granted, I can't think of any others in that category, but still.
I value movies that show me something I haven't seen before, and Tangerine fits the bill. The characters are memorable, authentic and sympathetic. For the duration of the film, I felt like I was living in their unfamiliar world. I was surprised to learn that the movie was economically filmed using a trio of iPhone 5s. The frenetic cinematography is accompanied by an eclectic mix of classical music to techno to Armenian music to Christmas melodies.
Overall, an interesting experience that I would recommend to anyone looking for something a little different.
