Finally I was able to see this. Another remarkable film from Studio Ghibli. The animation is great for its time. Such a sad story, I knew what I was getting into, but it still packs a punch.

Probably my favorite movie growing up. The dialogue is so cringe, but the 80s vibes and Tony Scott touch just elevates it. Been a long wait for the sequel but we are almost here

I've seen this twice and I couldn't have told you a single thing that happened after the first 20 minutes.

  • The Edge of Seventeen

    The Edge of Seventeen 2016

★★★½ Watched by Taylor Via 11 May 2022

This is truly a peaks and valleys movie. It is overly dramatic in a way that fits the narrative and the time of life this is portraying, but the closure simply isn't there. There's serious issues with our main character that are completely swept under the rug. Woody Harrelson shines and the few moments he has are when this works best. Sooooooo, are we just gonna act like she wasn't in love with her best friend? We are? Okay, sure.

Brilliant from Sciamma once again. I've waited awhile to see this and I loved it. Parking lot was full of Marvel fans and I sat alone in a small theater to watch this short but powerful gem. Happy Mothers Day

Really enjoyed the format and how original it felt. More great filmmakers tackling topics and stories they want to address is what we need. Always
