difficult to feel much passion one way or the other for this one. it's mildly funny at times and engaging at others, but like, this plays so far against tarantino's regular talents (compelling characters acting out over the top scenarios with each other as we grow to be enchanted with them individually) and what he should have been doing all along (leaner exploitation films that would have garnered less clout but more genuine interest). it's a mess, and it isn't grandiose enough to be a bombastic one. it just kinda exists most of the time.
2019 really is the year fred durst outdid scorsese and tarantino eh
