  • Arthur

One of my favorite movies of all time. In my top ten depending on what day you ask me. I can't even use enough adjectives to describe just how much I love this movie and what it means to me. Moore's performance in my opinion is iconic. I've seen many others play drunk, but none as endearing as Moore's Arthur. Gielgud's Oscar winning performance will always put this movie on cinephiles radar, but there is so much more to this…

  • Patton

170 minutes of one classic scene after the next, truly an outstanding movie and possibly the best War movie ever made.

Good docu-series coving the evolution of video games from the early days of Pong and ending with 3D games playable online. Never boring especially for those of us old farts who watched it happen in person. Have I really aged as much as these guys have since the 80s, lol.

A must for gamers and us 40 year Olds.

Greatest Events of World War II in Colour

500 minutes and actually ignores the campaigns in North Africa and Italy, outside of a couple mentions, and the same for most of the bloody battles of the pacific theater, with nothing really said about the end of the fighting in Europe. All 10 episodes go into great depth and detail about the topic at hand, ending with the atomic bomb and its ethical practicality.

    So despite…

Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood

Ok, I had to up this to 5 stars. Yeah I know I said there were some missed opportunities, names more Manson, but gotta look at it for what it is and not what it isn't. Sure I could live without QTs foot fetish, but it just captures 60s Hollywood in a way we've never really seen. QT has always used music in his films wonderfully, but man this is my favorite of his, probably because it not just fits,…

    Autumn Sonata

Wow, even better than I remembered. So utterly brutal, just like Scene From a Marriage. Liv and Ingrid toe to toe in an epic battle of out of this world acting skills. Watch something like Cries and Whispers and see how Liv is cruel and seductive, then to Autumn Sonata where she spends so much of it meek and passive. Watch Gaslight to see Ingrid vulnerable to this, where she is cold and callus. Just two utterly outstanding performances.
