In the Mood for Love

In the Mood for Love โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…

Damn I'm in the mood to hurt myself again and I did that by watching this film again๐Ÿ˜ž I still remember the first time I watched this film, I was holding my breath the entire time. I felt like by simply breathing, I was invading the characters' personal space. I was a voyeur. The film is too personal and too intimate, but at the same time it is also distant. Truly one of the best contemporary films I've ever seen. A work of art! Everything is perfect, from the claustrophobic setting to frames within frames to lighting to melancholy music and both the main leads are just superb and yes I've to see more of WKW filmography but I don't think any film could top this...and I don't think I'm gonna let ITMFL out of my top 4 at letterboxd ever. โค Also I'm in love with the opening sentence of the film:

"It is a restless moment. She has kept her head lowered, to give him a chance to come closer, but he could not, for lack of courage. She turns and walks away".
