Narcassistic friends bickering in an increasingly claustrophobic environment. Funny in bits (Patricia Clarkeson is a hoot), the film lacked soul and the characters were a little two dimensional so it was hard to invest. Disappointing but not awful.
Trippy... haunting... and just a wee bit disturbing. I loved the themes running through the film. Im not really sure what happened in the last 30 mins but i was completely engrossed. A film that takes you to interesting places but doesnt give answers (in the best possible way). I think it will stick with me for a long time.
Awkward, cringe worthy, enjoyable stuff from Ben Stiller. Missed this at cinemas but just watched it on a long haul flight. Brad’s navel-gazing and angst over his ‘white privelege, male privelege, first-class problems’ was excrutiating and funny. Always happy to spend time with a 40-something reflecting on their failure to live up to their ambitions...
