    Dark Passage


    Delmer Daves’ Rope. Not regarding a seemingly one-take, one-setting scenario, but specifically referring to a filmmaker taking big swings with camerawork and direction within a B-genre that it’s always interesting to behold. Lauren Bacall sizzles, Agnes Moorehead chews all her scenery and Bogie delivers a fascinatingly understated performance where his eyes and voice do most of the heavy-lifting. Loved this way more than I was expecting.
