    I enjoyed watching Yokozowa's story unfold in animated form. The manga itself threw me for a loop because I didn't realize I was missing a whole media piece of their story and kept trying to sort out how in the world he'd found himself in such a pickle.

    This is probably one of those movies people put on for while they do other things. I regret to inform you I did this with this movie, but in my defense, it came on right when I needed to make dinner! Ugh.

    The beginning is weird, and it feels like a low-budget, indie film made by high schoolers who got together and wanted to make a film. It does get better, though.

    Hopefully I'll get around to seeing it again…

    It's so full of ableist and person-first language. If I wanted to spend 1.5 hours in ignorance, I'd browse the Autism Speaks website.

    I've mixed feelings about this movie. For starters, I don't support the use of puzzle pieces on the cover, because I feel greatly that using a puzzle to describe what one doesn't understand in autism is inaccurate, in that there are no missing pieces -- one just needs to accept the fact that all people are different.
