Misogyny meets technology in this half-baked film about a group of college freshman douchebags who decide they need to control the relationship field. Swiped tries to hit the nail on the problem with dating apps, but misses it entirely in the heteronormative anti-feminism narrative that would better serve if set in high school. The boys don't grow up. The movie ends after the climax, rather than fully resolving anything. It doesn't make sense. The main boy toy doesn't actually learn…
I wasn't into this. The animation makes it feel cheap/surreal, even though the last half of the movie illustrates the importance of it; it's just an eyesore. You also low-key expect a romance because they hint at it, only to find it never happens; and the background music is wayyy overdone.
Just...too many disappointments, and people wonder why I dislike Spider-Man.
