Jane Lawson’s review published on Letterboxd:
Someone on Twitter recommended this, but I don't think its ending is better than "The Way He Looks" combined.
I wasn't as into this movie as I'd've liked, though I did admire the mother's reaction to learning her son wasn't totes hetero.
While I do enjoy tension, I don't admire the romances stemming from abusive relationships. It's not romantic to me, and I can't imagine it'd be healthy in the long run.
Like, why romanticize two people who can't stand each other to the point that they physically beat each other up?
The cinematography was pleasant.
