    2nd viewing, Uncut version this time, and both of those elements cement this as my favorite of 2020. I’m very behind on the year, but Possessor is superb in its own right.

    Uncut is undoubtedly the way this is meant to be watched. It is both visually and thematically enhanced with the added content. Having seen both versions, I can appreciate the uncut, true Possessor that much more.

    Stunning visuals, beautifully shot, sickeningly visceral. The score works perfectly too. I’ll say it again; Brandon Cronenberg has an excellent eye and I’m thrilled that he’s making movies like this.

    MyΒ first reviewΒ really says it all. The only difference is that I have to bump this up to a 5. The Neon Demon is dreadfully ethereal.

    After my first viewing I found myself looking up β€œmovies like The Neon Demon”. All I wanted was to find something to replicate the feeling I had watching this. It is a movie I could not stop thinking about, and a soundtrack I had on repeat. Rewatching it was fantastic.

    Need a rewatch; not sure how to feel about this one. I want to say it’s good, but I’m very sleepy and I feel like I need to give it another round of my total attention. Stylistically elevated for sure.
