Philip Schmidt’s review published on Letterboxd:
Well, that was fun. And since it's Ridley Scott, it's well-executed fun with impeccable art direction. The whole enterprise (the film, not the mission) feels so fluffy and disney-esque. At no time did I question our protag's safety or sanity.
The performances are enjoyable and charming if a little clipped (due to the film's sprawling ensemble cast, we never stick with a particular character for more than a minute or so and everyone is drawn broadly). There isn't even really bad guy aside from NASA in its more bureaucratic moments. Or possibly death itself.
