Pete Talbot’s review published on Letterboxd:
Emma Stone is amazing in this, it just might be the best performance of her career. Steve Carell is also very good, although he has the hurdle of acting through some prosthetic teeth. This is so well done, beautifully shot, nice touches of humor, interesting character arcs, and a very touching love story. I love how the emotional tones and themes of this movie come together with such satisfaction. It's so great to have such a good movie about tennis (and other themes, yes) that brings up such fond thoughts of the great players of the WTA, Martina Navratilova, Steffi Graf and Serena Williams.
